New Parents Start Here

Welcome to Las Americas Newcomer School! We are honored to support your family as your child begins their educational journey in the United States. Our school serves students in grades 6–8 who are new to the country and are learning English.

At Las Americas, we help students grow in English reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while also learning core academic subjects like math, science, and social studies.

You’ll be invited to attend a family orientation to meet our staff, tour the school, and learn about our program and expectations.

Our school opens at 6:30 a.m., and English Language Development classes begin promptly at 7:30 a.m.. Students also receive math, science, and social studies instruction.

We support families in multiple languages and provide translation services for meetings, documents, and phone calls. You’ll stay informed through phone messages, flyers, and school events.

We offer parent workshops, resources, and a caring environment to support your family’s transition to a new country and school system.
